Haru Yo Koi

Some paintings carry memories before I recognize them.

While searching these fragments, I was transported back to Hokkaido, where I lived for three years after college. I saw melting snow, Japanese woodblock prints, and the quiet anticipation of spring after a long northern winter.

The title comes from my favorite Japanese song, a meditation on longing, memory, and the promise of renewal.
